Oliver’s journalistic and media management experience spans more than two decades. As Assistant General Secretary of the International Federation of Journalists, he managed projects promoting journalists’ rights worldwide for 22 years. He is an expert in media development, project management, team leadership, financial management, fundraising, trade unions, and international lobbying.

An experienced public speaker and facilitator at international conferences and high-profile events, Oliver has shared his experience and guided hundreds, if not thousands of journalists all over the world. He has written and edited guidelines and training manuals for media professionals and advised on legislative, regulatory and professional reforms in the media sector in many countries. His particular area of interest is in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
